كشفت وزارة الدفاع الإيرانية عن أحدث صواريخها الباليستية الذي يحمل اسم "قاسم بصير" والذي هو نسخة مطورة من صاروخ "الحاج قاسم" ويبلغ مداه 1200 كلم على الاقل.
التجربة العملياتية التي تم اكتسابها من عمليتي (الوعد الصادق 1 و 2 ) أدّت إلى تطوير هذا الصاروخ الذي يعمل بالقود الصلب ويتمتع بمواصفات فنية عالية منها المناورة والاختراق في المرحلة النهائية ليتجاوز أنظمة الدفاع المتطورة مثل "باتريوت" و "ثاد".
